Danilo’s History
Danilo’s Fine Leather was created by Danilo Martinez in 1974. He began his business with a hammer, hollow punch, and simple piece of leather, along with great dreams for the future of leather design. A true visionary, Danilo was the first leather designer, producer, and business owner in Honduras. Today his company serves clients throughout Central America, the United States, and abroad.
It is significant to mention his source of inspiration: the Judeo-Christian writings and the understanding of God´s unconditional love demonstrated through Jesus Christ when he gave his life for mankind.
Danilo’s is praised for its superior leather products and high level of craftsmanship. He improved his techniques in the United States and Europe. In the beginning, his designs were reproduced by a select group of artisans that he personally trained. That tradition remains today, allowing Danilo’s to create beautiful, timeless leather designs that are truly unique. Well known for its women’s handbags, Danilo’s Fine Leather also creates a full line of designer products and accessories for men and women, and works regularly with corporations and businesses to create custom product designs for an evolving market.
